We will be opening NZPEM 2026 with a pōwhiri at Whatua Kaimarie Marae (11 Sutherland Road, Point Chevalier, Auckland) at 3:30pm on Monday 23rd March. All conference attendees will be formally welcomed onto the marae by the local kaumatua from the marae. For those who have not previously attended a pōwhiri, the process of being formally welcomed will be explained to all the conference attendees, and is a unique cultural experience. Please see the Pōwhiri page for more details.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

To cancel your registration, please send an e-mail to Rowen de Vries, rowen.devries@kathleenkilgourcentre.co.nz. A full refund will be given for cancellations received four weeks prior to the meeting. A 50% refund will be given for cancellations received two weeks prior to the meeting. Regrettably, for cancellations received less than two weeks prior to the event, with no possible substitute attendee, no refund can be made.

At NZPEM we are hoping to have a session sharing stories of practical cultural safety in our work context to build our confidence and understanding of professional practice in this area. In preparation for this, we would appreciate if you could complete the following:
